With Gianlucchi Vialli being sent off for his tackle on Mario Mandzukic, the former Juventus and Italy defender has scored four goals in four games for the hosts.
He has also scored two in four matches for his country.
“The referee made the call,” said Juve manager Antonio Conte.
“He’s a good referee, he’s very quick.
He knows the situation.”
Vialli’s first start of the season was against Germany, who are currently bottom of the group.
“It was very difficult,” Conte admitted.
“You know, you’re thinking: ‘What are we doing?
What are we not doing?’
I’m sorry to say it, but I’m very disappointed with the way the game was played. “
We need to do better.
I’m sorry to say it, but I’m very disappointed with the way the game was played.
I can’t blame myself.
I could have done better.”
